This was a 4star experience for me, however i will put 3 stars as an incentive for the owner to incorporate better CLEANING . Loved the view good location and ok price

Spectacular view! A good place for some fresh air in the urban area. It may need some driving skills to reach here at night, but you will find it very exciting. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's suitable for families with kids, or friends gathering for a whole night.

The best view I've ever seen in HK with such a low price! Worth it! Really enjoy the moment spent there! Maybe because of coming here on weekday, only 5-6 ppl can be seen. As the hostel is located at the top of Mount Davis, you can definitely enjoy full sea view in HK. Can get there by shuttle bus provided by YHA hostel. Only one bad feeling about the room: the wind was picking up in the middle of the night, very noisy outside and wind went in the room even though closed the window already, so hardly could we sleep.

The location is great, if you're looking for a relaxing experience while enjoying the great view that Mount Davis can offer. but if you're looking for a cheap accommodation, where rest during a party-hard staying in Hong Kong, you're totally wrong. It takes almost 30 minutes to get to the nearest Metro station (kennedy Town) and you can reach it with the free bus offered by the hostel. but it runs every hour, you have to book (to make sure you'll be able to get in). Alternatives? Many taxis won't bring you there or pick you up, walking takes 50-60 minutes on the way back, because is upon the hill. if you want to reach it from the city, get ready for a intense trekking session, as the hill is very steep. No local buses reach the mount. Plus, read through the web site, if you're not a member of the Youth Hostel community, you'll be asked to subscribe for the price of 150 HK Dollars. make your math and decide if worth it or not. summarizing: good view, really clean, big rooms, no smoking environment, cool service, bad transportation, really far from everything else.

Nice place with wonderful sea views. Wild camping site is beautiful and you can see the cat in the morning. We enjoyed diy cooking in the big kitchen and went out for a walk to Mount Davis Battery.

The view will blow your socks off. As a bit of history we stayed at this location in 1983, you had to walk the endless stairs to get here, no taxi would dare the road, and it was militant. We had weeding hours as part of the stay. Much more relaxed and friendly now.

I love this hostel. The view is fantastic! And it's very cozy. However, there are grass snakes on the road leading towards the hostel. People with phobia should not walk there alone.
